<div style="text-align: justify;">No pics for this update but basically here is where I am at:</div><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><ul style="text-align: justify;"><li>Tirewall issues again so fixed that (i.e. if you use all the tirewalls, it causes a black and white flicker...)</li>
<li>Still installing trees (Kinda becoming lazy because this kind of repetitions should be quick for me but I don't know...)</li>
<li>Figuring out what road textures to use as there are some light and dark variations seen on the real track (any suggestions?)</li>
</ul><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><div style="text-align: justify;">So far that's it... Ran a few laps as well just to check for any object errors but none so far aside from the tirewall issue... </div><br />

I think we got a winner for the Les Combes resource pic... <br />

Both resources are the winner.. =) What I wanted to know up close was if the details after the rumble is grass or some rubber road/green runoff 'ish...<br />

<br />
I wasn't able to do anything yesterday so today it was just about aligning objects... Specifically the pits... This is always a problem for every conversion as they are always scattered somewhere... Later I will be adding the rFactor trees instead of the Codemaster ones... <br />
<br />
<div style="background-color: #444444; color: white;"><b>03/03/2011 - 1</b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Time to start a new project and this time I'll share with ya'll how the conversion comes along... So for the first things I do are the following:</div><ol><li>organize new folders for the conversion</li>
<li>export all objects from objects.pssg file in a main folder alongside with the texture</li>
<li>create a scn file for track surface using the tracksplit.pssg file </li>
<li>I don't suggest this to anyone but this is my OC complex at work, merge all same materials to optimize material naming (merge duplicate materials in short)</li>
<li>After creating the track surface scn and pruning out the duplicate materials, you can now separate the collidable objects from the structures (or buildings)...</li>
<li>Same goes to the materials of the collidable objects and structures, merge duplicate and sort out the unique</li>
<li>Usually the pit garage are not placed correctly in the pit building so you need to fix that... </li>
<li>Once all of the above is done, time to add the tags, organize the material naming for the tdf file and add xobjects (i.e. lights, sectors and skybox/skyboxi)</li>
</ol><ol></ol><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjzAQCMHuFwJQU25HlVYA_pPfd3gepK_8fAlwKHcxNnJrp55Es-ry2gCsALp_B_ktADmQAQyjlwfonrha1iqkLgMuV9cz1JCntvFGfPwA9dZk3CVaoKhSpQDBdx_oZZGsW-8-b3laxlIs/s1600/GD2+-+P203032011_Pic1.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjzAQCMHuFwJQU25HlVYA_pPfd3gepK_8fAlwKHcxNnJrp55Es-ry2gCsALp_B_ktADmQAQyjlwfonrha1iqkLgMuV9cz1JCntvFGfPwA9dZk3CVaoKhSpQDBdx_oZZGsW-8-b3laxlIs/s1600/GD2+-+P203032011_Pic1.gif" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Now that should make the track converted for use in rFactor. And that's a working track already unless there are problem objects which makes life harder... So far that's the first part, I'll give you more on the next entry...</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />

Despite this second straight loss were in both games they had a strong 1st half, I think Miami just needs a late game winner... Sometimes seeing how you win in late game situations gives you a boost that you can do it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlqWOxTSgNg6BMsrwI54wwGLzxsV7pAo4k1ok7cUtMMVVXCcag_zUcPL_bPjA_zhLCvMwLpj1EISjs-_2mCcqKliRNlXqDi4mhjTsSEI2X9e8n4lFYxJxbBjT_8bn4zyzII0tOIyVv328/s1600/GT+-+P403042011_Pic1.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlqWOxTSgNg6BMsrwI54wwGLzxsV7pAo4k1ok7cUtMMVVXCcag_zUcPL_bPjA_zhLCvMwLpj1EISjs-_2mCcqKliRNlXqDi4mhjTsSEI2X9e8n4lFYxJxbBjT_8bn4zyzII0tOIyVv328/s1600/GT+-+P403042011_Pic1.gif" /></a></div><br />
Since my <a href="http://angelodeasa.blogspot.com/2011/02/gt-p202282011.html">last blog about the heat</a>, I think they found the mistakes they made with regards to pick and rolls for Lebron/Wade isolation's but there back up plan of Bosh in post just didn't clicked today...<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">Despite this heart breaking loss and a big downer for this day, I still think they can get back from this fumble... But this time Spoelstra needs to give one guy the responsibility to take over in this situations... When I was watching the dying minutes, body language just says it all from Wade and Lebron... They just didn't want to take the last shot... They had almost 3 tries to make it happen and it just didn't push through...</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSvrOxEylEnnQjTIlqWxOvNmCl8aCH86Ox6MspKwUKleHAURxHafO9MlbyQop44ejvOK7ps2ukweiXC8stJinxLFBqRuLsCbJPWf1myO11LSr96ZVd82HYcVEnr8rjCOkw2I45F3ax9fk/s1600/GT+-+P403042011_Pic2.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSvrOxEylEnnQjTIlqWxOvNmCl8aCH86Ox6MspKwUKleHAURxHafO9MlbyQop44ejvOK7ps2ukweiXC8stJinxLFBqRuLsCbJPWf1myO11LSr96ZVd82HYcVEnr8rjCOkw2I45F3ax9fk/s1600/GT+-+P403042011_Pic2.gif" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">So the plan of the heat having multiple picks works but they got to have some plan C or D... What I can suggest here is have Bosh work on his post game... He likes the high post then slash but he needs to have a back down game... For me this play should isolate one side of the court and the rest of the players can move around for a open jumper or a quick slash...</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">For the Orlando Magic, I think consistency is what they need... They have the plays set of in and out of Howard but sometimes Jameer is there and then sometimes J-Rich is there but never in a consistent manner... Also from my opinion on Howard getting frustrated with his teammates, I'm not sure that's a good idea saying that to the media... I would suggest for that is, he just needs to push his teammates in a different way like "we need you", or "my in and out game will not work without you"... Sometimes giving respect and boosting ego helps in giving a player confidence... Its a little soft but you know were still human...</div><br />
<br />
Any Heat fans out there, your welcome to post any comments... =)<br />

For all other issues of the track, it is duly noted and will be updated on the second pass... Besides, I have taken a long time in converting this track, I need a new scenery... =)<br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">Welcome to my first development post. This will be basically a place where I will put updates on the projects I am currently doing and also in continuous succession to save space in a way =)...</div><br />

<br />
Got the AIW working but the Chapel road update is still not that smooth... <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhr6LTlnPBhvn1f6H9tdwq4KrwbgoqmPAaLWRaeDqN_ehbP6O5Pk7qLMgHJS4lIvXAKlUfiq0jFl7HeZOlx95pp5Dihhx476GEBFz6tye6CBlfABmeWMW4KK1noYjjZoUB88t9z2duHnH0/s1600/GD2+-+P102282011_Pic6.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhr6LTlnPBhvn1f6H9tdwq4KrwbgoqmPAaLWRaeDqN_ehbP6O5Pk7qLMgHJS4lIvXAKlUfiq0jFl7HeZOlx95pp5Dihhx476GEBFz6tye6CBlfABmeWMW4KK1noYjjZoUB88t9z2duHnH0/s1600/GD2+-+P102282011_Pic6.gif" /></a></div><br />
Things are a little bit getting tedious,tougher and time consuming... I guess all good things have to take time...<br />
<br />
<br />
03/01/2011 - 1 <br />
<br />
Here's another quick update and I'm betting this might get released today...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpvw4ebpZQ09KKPJEyUw4CdNEsSf1BEix42OXj5zczgGNxg0fNjEz8GL_70AuukElnDj1flITmn3jUDtNyG49BOqReQr1ni6DbvuEPDvexaDny040Y9jwTgkNCNbrRF_yAXNqig_utWQE/s1600/GD2+-+P102282011_Pic5.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpvw4ebpZQ09KKPJEyUw4CdNEsSf1BEix42OXj5zczgGNxg0fNjEz8GL_70AuukElnDj1flITmn3jUDtNyG49BOqReQr1ni6DbvuEPDvexaDny040Y9jwTgkNCNbrRF_yAXNqig_utWQE/s1600/GD2+-+P102282011_Pic5.gif" /></a></div><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">Got this fixed now but there is still a missing runoff right beside the becketts corner... Should I release the chapel corner update only or in a big update alongside the becketts corner runoff? No comment means I go with option 2, okay... =)</div><br />
02/28/2011 - 2<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjGb7O1RguGDn78W2gvlBU-zIrAhT_IjXOjy_745I89CKh3TJ3ECPZx9r0Cghkh5kp-42rqsJ97qd4x4e_H9NxoZGk7DmHwYGm-simq6c1do3Y-tvZED7BNS_h6CWbq43w9fqKnlbR9Kc/s1600/GD2+-+P102282011_Pic4.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjGb7O1RguGDn78W2gvlBU-zIrAhT_IjXOjy_745I89CKh3TJ3ECPZx9r0Cghkh5kp-42rqsJ97qd4x4e_H9NxoZGk7DmHwYGm-simq6c1do3Y-tvZED7BNS_h6CWbq43w9fqKnlbR9Kc/s1600/GD2+-+P102282011_Pic4.gif" /></a></div><br />
Looks a bit okay now but needs a little more of polishing... Some rumblestrips needed, some updates on the asphalt texture, some grass and runoffs to be moved accordingly and lastly some more road smoothing as I saw some errors...<br />
<br />
02/28/2011 - 1<br />
<br />
Here's another quick update...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhverj9ly1BHOviNC3CQm2Ltox5rnGdFXm6WlqvyBpiZjDfwnW2sgZEvZZdlzm2xINm0u_GNAUgizcIQWxJAl7CIIJ9QJLPhDByWdRs6wJOyHHt3uJFGzkh5101y51ZWVEQZ516qgSciKI/s1600/GD2+-+P102112011_Pic3.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhverj9ly1BHOviNC3CQm2Ltox5rnGdFXm6WlqvyBpiZjDfwnW2sgZEvZZdlzm2xINm0u_GNAUgizcIQWxJAl7CIIJ9QJLPhDByWdRs6wJOyHHt3uJFGzkh5101y51ZWVEQZ516qgSciKI/s1600/GD2+-+P102112011_Pic3.gif" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">The corner is a little bit shaping up but the hard part here is the Z axis... You have to make sure its smooth and easy to connect to the rest of the track... Anybody got tips out there =)</div><br />
02/27/2011<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">Anyway, as the title suggests and thanks to lasercutter (from <a href="http://f1classic.your-talk.com/t5081p225-f1-2010-track-conversions">F1 Classics forum</a>) by the way, while I was converting Silverstone I forgot to remodel the chapel corner as it was now an easier exit than before... Below is the picture given by lasercutter which resembles the update on the chapel corner.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjN7SmjCN6XzQD31GbIL6nTBf3NOLeVDxghbJN65MsK_hGmEtvY3jZJhz9SVcYV2nrmxZePgdsgcVTF_uMP03OXNqM-YLmJifd5-IzC53a7Q6L3EKEcCYaC0J3r_hk0gtYipop1dlXTr0Y/s1600/GD2+-+P102112011_Pic1.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjN7SmjCN6XzQD31GbIL6nTBf3NOLeVDxghbJN65MsK_hGmEtvY3jZJhz9SVcYV2nrmxZePgdsgcVTF_uMP03OXNqM-YLmJifd5-IzC53a7Q6L3EKEcCYaC0J3r_hk0gtYipop1dlXTr0Y/s1600/GD2+-+P102112011_Pic1.gif" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">And here is my first try on editing the track...</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjGeR-iAuCbbpBJ8UK4j4gWjkK5T6uz3Sq8xfX5bM0ILm4nTowAm9-LkXcIOR3DujJkO15t8waoGHLkZiACes4pmCU8_QP__z4GC7JdErBa4Mu0a-vwtzPW6AwVHdNPHfeeVDHBSxf9mg/s1600/GD2+-+P102112011_Pic2.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjGeR-iAuCbbpBJ8UK4j4gWjkK5T6uz3Sq8xfX5bM0ILm4nTowAm9-LkXcIOR3DujJkO15t8waoGHLkZiACes4pmCU8_QP__z4GC7JdErBa4Mu0a-vwtzPW6AwVHdNPHfeeVDHBSxf9mg/s1600/GD2+-+P102112011_Pic2.gif" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Well, this is more of a rough sketch for now but since I have been busy with real life lately, I hope this will not take a while to update... So this will be my first log for this update so if you have any questions, feel free to hit the comments...<br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">Mike Bibby's contract being bought out says a lot about him as a player... But the 2010/11 NBA thing now a days is to "give up the money for a contender team"... Would have been nice if it was 2009 right? Or 2007? Or whatever the hell year star players started joining in big market teams... He could have stood out in the headlines if that was the case...</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFC0LF3Ac9xVC3LNvgjamqBt3qBcwko7OUWawkAfU8CR9uwAr2l4BYWC11ERBHs-Ph6Jp5KHqH2ReYKRbb4ln_panMp6WpNVJpmv4cG7F99GHt2tKHgO3NGYe07Ujk1bYi-3dfanpT8Gc/s1600/GT+-+P303012011_Pic1.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFC0LF3Ac9xVC3LNvgjamqBt3qBcwko7OUWawkAfU8CR9uwAr2l4BYWC11ERBHs-Ph6Jp5KHqH2ReYKRbb4ln_panMp6WpNVJpmv4cG7F99GHt2tKHgO3NGYe07Ujk1bYi-3dfanpT8Gc/s1600/GT+-+P303012011_Pic1.gif" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Now, lets not talk about why he got traded in the first place because that still baffles me why it happened... Lets talk about his options now since he is back in the market...</div><br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrguyhC0CHXhSMwwF2D9dKZ1Hwv-aDnHprhcfKoqZYcbRB-ZVkH4IlQ8567eJUVSZ2eWyE5NMRdi6W8GPRJgjpDgprY4IxGN0y2hPi1K9ZJbsbvKx7qgvn8lxYDUVmWvHSYA5Dxq0p47M/s1600/GT+-+P303012011_Pic2.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrguyhC0CHXhSMwwF2D9dKZ1Hwv-aDnHprhcfKoqZYcbRB-ZVkH4IlQ8567eJUVSZ2eWyE5NMRdi6W8GPRJgjpDgprY4IxGN0y2hPi1K9ZJbsbvKx7qgvn8lxYDUVmWvHSYA5Dxq0p47M/s1600/GT+-+P303012011_Pic2.gif" /></a></div><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">Since I am Lebron fan which makes me a Heat fan as well, the obvious place where my opinion will take Bibby is Miami... I am not sure about that... Adding another assist man in the Miami group will sound just redundant... But in hindsight, I wouldn't mind stacking him in Miami as well... Conflicting? For me its confusing but lets move on...</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Now the next rumor teams that will take Bibby are Boston, Denver and Portland... With Rondo in Boston, for sure he will be a back up point and a replacement for the traded Nate... That looks like a Michael Finley situation all over again... Well, just to explain, Finley moved to the Spurs start of the 09/10 campaign and then moved to Boston to be benched and we all know what the reason for that is, right?... It doesn't sound good of a deal in Boston but this is just based on what I have seen lately there... </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Now in Denver, its going to be a different situation there since I think they are trying to re-fit the lineup into the Karl system so I am not sure... With Raymond Felton having a good season with the Knicks before being traded, he looks to be a front runner in leading the team in Denver which makes Bibby another back up or they might experiment a combo guard lineup which I doubt...</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Lastly, taking Bibby to Portland is like the Felton in Denver as well... Andre Miller is still there playing and your fighting minutes with him for sure...</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Bibby had a good fit in Atlanta but management thinks differently or maybe it was Bibby tired of being stopped in second rounds but in any case his situation doesn't bode a lot... </div><br />
When I saw the articles, it got me excited... I don't know why but maybe because of the prospect... But breaking it down, It got me thinking...<br />
<br />
So what do you think is best for Bibby after his contract buyout?<br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">Common guys... Heat loses again in the dying minutes when in the 1st quarter they were up as high as 11 points... <br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">Watching the 3rd quarter was grueling as the play of the Heat was to give the ball to Lebron and see what happens after that... Not even a pick from Bosh... And when you see Lebron start shooting the step back jumpers in the 3rd quarter, that just basically means there were no other options on the floor... I am not sure also what happened to Wade as he became an assist man instead... I remember D-Wade in his championship run as rather an offensive weapon and a clutch player but it looks like he has relegated himself for Lebron... I just think there roles has been mixed up a bit and Bosh looks to be the consistent one as he is just following what he has been doing since his Raptor days, post up/face up/shoot...</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">The commenter for the ESPN broadcast were talking about if the Knicks are now contenders... My opinion to that is not yet... Carmelo Anthony will always get his numbers and Billups will always hit the clutch 3's and I don't think those were D'Antoni plays. Those numbers and plays was just based on there basketball experience... For me, this is just a scrimmage game for them... Wait until they get the chemistry and the philosophy of D'Antoni, thats going to be scary... </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">I still believe in the Heat despite this loss but they have to get there act together as playoffs is near and there ain't no second chances when your in the dying minutes there... The Heat needs to have there bench/role players working consistently as this is the only way the strategy for the Big 3 will work..<br />

</div><div style="text-align: justify;">This is my first post for my self named narcissistic =) blog post "gelo's take". Basically anything about everything that I like and have opinions about will be the focus of this post. Okay, so lets give it a whirl...</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">In basketball, I mostly admire the art of form, arc of shot and the amazing sound of a ball swishing the net... When I play with my friends, I always imitate my favorite NBA shooter and whisper there names before I release like I am commenting my own play by play... Also, lets mention since Ray Allen (One of I guess the last remaining good shooting form guards) just surpassed Reggie Miller's record for most 3 pointer makes, its just timely to talk about...</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">So let me break down my favorite shooters on why I like them and why I get to whisper there names each shot I throw...</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><a name='more'></a><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjlbbN5KTaazYOMf_4Ly8m0qc8rnmR-ruBLD729YHruPaJRXnH7oL7QCBOu_alLzo0tl1phdhW-HgRwuyjUQZg9-iLQymLcNOyI1Qg30MSkLYfwVmESnWMnCIdYqZ1VEIfblbLXe3h8q8/s1600/GT+-+P102282011_Pic1.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjlbbN5KTaazYOMf_4Ly8m0qc8rnmR-ruBLD729YHruPaJRXnH7oL7QCBOu_alLzo0tl1phdhW-HgRwuyjUQZg9-iLQymLcNOyI1Qg30MSkLYfwVmESnWMnCIdYqZ1VEIfblbLXe3h8q8/s1600/GT+-+P102282011_Pic1.gif" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Allan Houston... I don't know why this guy just faded away from the NBA after some amazing Championship runs... But I guess that's how usually the career of a NBA shooting guard goes (i.e. Trajan Langdon)...</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">I just love how Houston palms the ball from the chest and then pushes up for the jumper... His prep gives an amazing spin on the ball and a stable straight form up to the release. The problem I had with his jumper is that if a defender is that close to you, usually the form deviates and basically you rely from the elbow release and a little fade. From my opinion, his jumper is best used either in a spot up situation or maybe coming off a pick...</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXMMLy_zb53C15zhh2Zf-NUixwDlZetmIxsNywMszcRwIXzwmG2YOnoMhYNuIlVZy1WPZKwLqK64D1SMH_LHJu1e22x85ElqGOxYIMk4xcBZxTxeJ6RSL_9sAelgdvELP1kFTSD_35npI/s1600/GT+-+P102282011_Pic2.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXMMLy_zb53C15zhh2Zf-NUixwDlZetmIxsNywMszcRwIXzwmG2YOnoMhYNuIlVZy1WPZKwLqK64D1SMH_LHJu1e22x85ElqGOxYIMk4xcBZxTxeJ6RSL_9sAelgdvELP1kFTSD_35npI/s1600/GT+-+P102282011_Pic2.gif" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Reggie Miller... To be honest, not one of my most liked forms or release but his discipline and confidence I think compensates for that fact. I believe his shot does not rely on the planting of his feet but rather on the preparation/catch of the ball and the awkward cross hand follow through... I think that awkward follow through doesn't really help on the shot except for Reggie as it could cause sometimes some angular throws. But for desperation moments, his almost like a turn around three point shot is one of my favorite shots. Like I said, it does not rely on how you prep your feet, basically if you catch the ball, your good.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtFAcaM1-b74yFOvTB8FNAukV57GOQH4W96D5f_3ZaegQZA6SNK8f39-2O4u2wpNLe7ehmswLu-Wn499HA4Yct7jzO-5ZAAZwk9Yl_WHM6nQqKnDOcwM-WGeOLypvVxwqish4y6LJelc8/s1600/GT+-+P102282011_Pic3.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtFAcaM1-b74yFOvTB8FNAukV57GOQH4W96D5f_3ZaegQZA6SNK8f39-2O4u2wpNLe7ehmswLu-Wn499HA4Yct7jzO-5ZAAZwk9Yl_WHM6nQqKnDOcwM-WGeOLypvVxwqish4y6LJelc8/s1600/GT+-+P102282011_Pic3.gif" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">I don't know if you remember Dale Ellis but he's one of my top shooters... I don't know also If I remember his jumper correctly but from memory, his shot is a little awkward on the body form. I think his body shifts a little to the left for the release which makes me remember him all the time... I think his jumper is more of a "made for him type of shots" as sometimes you just don't see those kind of forms getting a high makes on 3 point percentages, but it works...</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZFCR77q69nRirsAXLZ0uvIUIqGyvQ8SinXsSKV0UoCdYCmSj-KKr5SKxcPh8MldUXxAd5CISczsKxsJw5cOK5S27c7sszS6ZyyukHU0bZ4Bv_1tML9khFQICvb2lr_5VLZb6nOApdFAw/s1600/GT+-+P102282011_Pic4.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZFCR77q69nRirsAXLZ0uvIUIqGyvQ8SinXsSKV0UoCdYCmSj-KKr5SKxcPh8MldUXxAd5CISczsKxsJw5cOK5S27c7sszS6ZyyukHU0bZ4Bv_1tML9khFQICvb2lr_5VLZb6nOApdFAw/s1600/GT+-+P102282011_Pic4.gif" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">I don't know if Shawn Marion's shot was wackier than Rex Chapman but for me, I just don't know how he makes it... I can never imitate his shot ofcourse because you need a certain amount of quickness to do so. But we all remember the 1997 Playoffs wherein he made that crazy catch and shoot 3 pointer which just blew my mind... They show that shot in NBA Action all the time in slow mo and you will say its a lucky shot but just to tell you, that is his usual shooting form... I don't even remember Rex shooting a spot up because I always get to see his shot from a turn around or coming of a pick.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjV_0zPZ13P5qiN7VT_MKelPrgHYg26dR7upG6O6P2IUbkKeqzfw-dhhiLurWY4YhKdy-fatknx6T6uXsFHU6Bc3aj8ODoNYYkqA6GmgFJW_iKbL7Dlti63LFV7JlrTp9prxS0tr1qnajE/s1600/GT+-+P102282011_Pic5.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjV_0zPZ13P5qiN7VT_MKelPrgHYg26dR7upG6O6P2IUbkKeqzfw-dhhiLurWY4YhKdy-fatknx6T6uXsFHU6Bc3aj8ODoNYYkqA6GmgFJW_iKbL7Dlti63LFV7JlrTp9prxS0tr1qnajE/s1600/GT+-+P102282011_Pic5.gif" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Steve Kerr... To be honest, I like him because of this picture alone or when this moment happened... His jumper I think is effective from a transition situation as I think he gets his momentum from the run he gets before he catches the ball... And then his smooth motion from chest to follow through form is flawless... I think this shot is best used from a running shot form rather than a spot up...</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgh5l0Er0bKHTJHaVzZXanzOnX9QGksfUXrP8UKxzC2o9aPrcjnjCsCNm6EEaT208izIEI0-v-OjkClt_4OzJo2ix8gNvoV_UszoTUsVFLdD13jpE9l59v037QBpqSigUgiRw_qubHqFYg/s1600/GT+-+P102282011_Pic6.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgh5l0Er0bKHTJHaVzZXanzOnX9QGksfUXrP8UKxzC2o9aPrcjnjCsCNm6EEaT208izIEI0-v-OjkClt_4OzJo2ix8gNvoV_UszoTUsVFLdD13jpE9l59v037QBpqSigUgiRw_qubHqFYg/s1600/GT+-+P102282011_Pic6.gif" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Glen Rice, like Allan Houston almost has the same form but different palming of the ball and maybe also the height of release... But I think Mr. Rice's form is one the textbook jumpers of all time. The bend of the knee, the prep of the ball to the chest and then the push up with the help of the elbow and lastly the flicker of the hand for release above the head... Also like Houston's shot, its not likely effective on a turn around fade away as this kind of shots are really straight forward...</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid_D5-V5Le0vgmsg9MQQc-9Uco1Xwgw_KdoA8kWZWybMiJhyphenhyphenmoRJQwmWbQiY3oqziA3b3NlQBRujEMDzyeD0V8YJTSxg9aJSBoxJ0c6BYbzAOAeUDj6UVHQGsDt5FOd076nEvVFcGgcDA/s1600/GT+-+P102282011_Pic7.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid_D5-V5Le0vgmsg9MQQc-9Uco1Xwgw_KdoA8kWZWybMiJhyphenhyphenmoRJQwmWbQiY3oqziA3b3NlQBRujEMDzyeD0V8YJTSxg9aJSBoxJ0c6BYbzAOAeUDj6UVHQGsDt5FOd076nEvVFcGgcDA/s1600/GT+-+P102282011_Pic7.gif" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Glen the "Big Dog" Robinson... The helping hand or the guiding hand of Mr. Robinson shot is the reason I like his jumper as it is not on the side as what a textbook shooter does but it is almost mirroring the shooting hand... And the slingshot type which does not need a lot of help from the knees is more of what I call a sweet shot. Mannnn, when Cassell, Ray Allen and the Big Dog combined for three's, you know it is going to be a blow out...</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhELtdkSgRAacFXvxKnTV-7fBP4gPqxse9ntVZh5mnT1EwchD89B3Fmv7_8OsWBnxcstjxsdFHE_uHeewOMsuQo_dvIhrCoR1q-RKZS1Y8rbkYyoX9L9aA7nhvWaj7e7svEbHEkTqaF4kE/s1600/GT+-+P102282011_Pic8.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhELtdkSgRAacFXvxKnTV-7fBP4gPqxse9ntVZh5mnT1EwchD89B3Fmv7_8OsWBnxcstjxsdFHE_uHeewOMsuQo_dvIhrCoR1q-RKZS1Y8rbkYyoX9L9aA7nhvWaj7e7svEbHEkTqaF4kE/s1600/GT+-+P102282011_Pic8.gif" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">One of the underrated jump shooters of the NBA is Tim Thomas. I don't get to see him play everyday but when I do, he is usually dead on... But when I don't and I just check the box scores, he's kind of inconsistent... But his jumper is still one of my favorites as its like a bulky shooters jumper... Doesn't get that much height on the jump but the form of the shoulder shows you that he is a shooter... I don't know why he never got to perfect this shot to even get him a high three point percentage but when Tim gets hot, I remember him hitting a record of three pointers for a team.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">I ain't finished yet so there will be a part two but you can hit the comments for us to discuss your fave NBA shooter...</div><br />

Well of course if I had a full day for myself, things would be faster but the All Star Weekend... Happens only once a year... That got my full attention... Anyway, below are some quick notes for the Silverstone Circuit conversion:</div><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><ul style="text-align: justify;"><li>3 configurations installed (Arena, Bridge and National)</li>
<li>The Bridge GP configuration is more of an homage as it doesn't really represent the 2009 track. I'm not sure either if they are still using this configuration but its good to have for testing purposes right...?</li>
<li>The National GP configuration also corresponds only to 24 car pit garage but I'll update this for the F3 and Sports Car events soon... Get me a free couple of hours and this will be done... =)</li>
<li>A lot of curb/rumblestrip updates but still didn't get to update them all based on the 2010 track... This was as close as I can get as it had a lot of vertices to work with</li>
<li>Due to the updates made to the curbs, tested with some 3D models and I have a good feeling about the next update for this track</li>
</ul><br />

Circuit Gilles Villenueve is done and this conversion ain't no simple conversion... It's rFactor immersion...</div><div style="font-family: inherit;"><br />
</div><div style="font-family: inherit;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSpM5dvkbpNqe8UKuqnhNMjp2OG_gueqQJU78hOaNnwRYkbAt_77vUA9cAMUvGKNOfTCb0y13b8JBQ8G9CxmEhCRV3bzlkUzV52FXj3UtzNE_Ip3xtvqz3Cu3eN63VInqk_-p0Yu0Q7ZM/s1600/F12010_CAN_4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSpM5dvkbpNqe8UKuqnhNMjp2OG_gueqQJU78hOaNnwRYkbAt_77vUA9cAMUvGKNOfTCb0y13b8JBQ8G9CxmEhCRV3bzlkUzV52FXj3UtzNE_Ip3xtvqz3Cu3eN63VInqk_-p0Yu0Q7ZM/s400/F12010_CAN_4.jpg" width="400" /></a></div></div><div style="font-family: inherit;"></div><div style="font-family: inherit;"><br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
</div><div style="font-family: inherit; text-align: justify;">Well... Kinda my first try in converting a track and making it to a close feel immersion with the rFactor game. Took a lot of notes from a lot people and this is my first go in improving the following:</div><div style="font-family: inherit; text-align: justify;"></div><ul style="font-family: inherit; text-align: justify;"><li>Since the LOD (Level of Detail) values are calculated in meters, it means you can relate it to the track length (ofcourse convert the kilometers to meters). As all of you know, I guess for the ones who are downloading my conversion, my mods are more of resource oriented but a little compromise was made. So instead of 500 LOD Out value, its now increased to 1000... Tested it and seems to have no more of the popping out issue, crossed fingers...</li>
<li>Track surface textures (road, grass, gravel, sand, etc.) are now based on rFactor's as I believe the Codemaster's one relied heavily on there graphics engine instead of the base texture...</li>
<li>Replaced the trees with rFactor default ones as we all know the Codies trees are a hit or miss (10% hit and 90% miss). </li>
<li>Added a lot of detail to the track as the plain conversion was "plain"... =)</li>
</ul><div style="font-family: inherit; text-align: justify;">So those are some key notes for the conversion, and I had a lot of good experience with this one so expect a better version on the second pass (Well I guess since there are still a lot of tracks left...)... Okay, here are some of the preview pictures and as usual the download afterwards.</div><div style="font-family: inherit;"><br />

Here are some details about the conversion and the track itself:</div><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><ul style="text-align: justify;"><li>Tirewalls I have seen to be a common issue in the conversion as they take really a big chunk of the tracks file size so in short, only a selection of tirewalls again are present.</li>
<li>This track had a really bad road mapping so it forced me to fix it. So this would be my first try in fixing the texture through mapping correction so try to spot the difference from the previous tracks with this one.</li>
<li>The CAM file should work properly now with regard to the listener sound. (Thanks to "khan1670" from <a href="http://f1classic.your-talk.com/t5081p105-f1-2010-track-conversions">F1 Classic forums</a>)</li>

One of the most important things I learned while converting this track is how to use the "Unwrap UVW" function in 3DS Max. This just gave me a new arsenal in improving the converted tracks getting ready for my second pass. Also, I might revisit the Bahrain International Circuit early this month since were closing in to the new F1 season and that track will most likely be used a lot by that time and my first conversion really sucked to say the least... =D</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />

</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Now, I just want to tell everybody that all of my conversions are basically to ensure they work with rFactor. Texture updates, solutions for a better looking track, etc. are not included as of the moment as for the first pass of the Codemaster's tracks is basically to convert them and make them work in rFactor. The rest will be done on the second pass.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">By the way, this is my first conversion where in nothing was changed and all objects were included coming from the conversion. Of course, as usual there was some holes again on the track but was easily patched using 3DS Max. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Just to let you know, I'm kinda excited for the second pass as I am really learning a lot on how to use the 3DS Max program... Since I use that program to resolve some issues on the conversion, I am kinda learning also how to render a certain object correctly and if I can apply that to the conversion I am working on, I might be able to resolve the texture issues. Anyway, that project will for sure take a while but I am up for it. Learning to manipulate 3D objects in 3DS Max makes me feel there is a lot of opportunities I can do if I get to master it.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />

Tirewalls... Due to the number of Tirewalls surrounding the track (about 1,400 plus objects to be exact which each object has a file size of 374 kb), I think the gmotor engine just told me the limit of its rendering power... Anyway, in short, there is only a selection of tirewalls chosen to complete the track. Don't worry, there might be a solution for it but I won't be doing it now so on my second pass, I'll see what I can do...</li>
<li>The Umbrella object - this object has been removed as for me it just looks inappropriate... Maybe in rFactor 2 it would be okay where there is rain...</li>
<li> As usual, audiences, marshalls, etc. are not yet implemented... On a side note, has anyone tried like a cardboard pit team... Like Martin Whitmarsh and his engineers on the pitwall... Hmmmm...</li>
<li>With regards to the CAM file, as I am still learning how to perfect it, there is still some issues with the sound. So if anyone out there can teach me how to fix that, it would be very much appreciated.</li>
</ul>Anyway, that should be it and below are the preview pics and download links.<br />

Under your Player folder is a file with an extension name called <b>".CCH"</b>. This file stores all of your championship information from points, race wins, pole positions, and most important of all (well, for the grid editing anyway) is the <b>"current qualifying order"</b> of your championship race.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Lets try to break down the CCH file further just out of curiosity. The file consists I believe of three parts;</div><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><ol style="text-align: justify;"><li>Career</li>
<li>Career Season</li>
<li>Player Track Stats</li>
</ol><div style="text-align: justify;">Under <b>"Career"</b> looks to hold information with regards to basic details like experience, money, what mod is being used, wins, poles, number of lap records, etc. In <b>"Career Season"</b>, it gives us specific details on the current championship you are running like name of the championship, race conditions, game options/rules, <b>race session, current race,</b> etc. And lastly <b>"Player Track Stats"</b>, which basically is your lap records for each track you have ran on.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
<a name='more'></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Now, the thing that we need to look out here is the <b>"Career Season"</b> line as this is all were the grid customization will happen. I highlighted <b>race session</b> and <b>current race</b> above as this information both pertain to the current session you have (i.e. practice 1, practice 2, qualifying, warmup, etc.) and the current gp your racing. Since I like to emulate the current F1 qualifying session, the <b>race session</b> line is very important. To give you more information about the line <b>race session</b>, here is how its broke down;</div><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><ul style="text-align: justify;"><li>1 = Practice Session 1</li>
<li>2 = Practice Session 2</li>
<li>3 = Practice Session 3</li>
<li>4 = Practice Session 4</li>
<li>5 = Qualifying</li>
<li>6 = Warm up Session</li>
<li>7 = Race</li>
</ul><div style="text-align: justify;">So the way you can emulate the current F1 Qualifying process is basically every time your done with a qualifying session, you just need to change the current session line to 5 and then cancel out the drivers that did not make it to the relegation zone. Its a lot of work, but if your an F1 fan this wouldn't be a problem.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Now, we haven't really talked about the grid customization yet but knowing these information helps you use the CCH file to your liking. Anyway, going deeper to the Career Season line, you will see there the current player/driver you are using and your opponents. Let me give you a better look:</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />

</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: small;">Now</span> as you can see above, there are more information aside from the driver you are using and your opponents. These information will help us customize the grid and specifically the lines <span style="font-size: small;"><b>"OriginalGridPosition" </b>and<b> "CurrentGridPosition" </b>can do that. These lines basically when changed will represent your current qualifying position. Original Grid Position I believe is the position you start in when the session begins and Current Grid Position is the qualifying spot. I suggest when you edit this, you both change them with the same number as not to have errors or mismatches.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: small;"><br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: small;">With the information you have now, you can customize all kinds of events for your championship (i.e. qualifying race, sprint and feature races, etc.). I hope you understand how it works after this post and if you have any questions, you know where to go.</span></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8719833229273609796.post-550675206077918812011-01-12T04:31:00.000-08:002011-01-31T17:07:43.898-08:00rFactor Track Conversion - F1 2010 Codemasters Melbourne Grand Prix CircuitMy F1 2010 conversion of the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit for rFactor is done. In a way I guess... Well, I'll give this one a beta release as I still can't figure out why some of the objects are not coming up.<br />
<br />
Anyway, for this release, I have figured out how to get all of the objects coming from the F1 2010 pssg files to work in rFactor... So this track is a bit big ( 100 MB plus big :) ) but surprisingly okay on the FPS side. It surprised me a lot as lowering the gmt's LOD's did the trick.<br />
<br />
Well, enough of my rant's :) ... Below are the preview pics plus download link<br />

Again, enjoy and I guess I'm of to Malaysia for the meantime...Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8719833229273609796.post-50537806221171049822011-01-01T18:51:00.000-08:002011-02-05T01:49:36.286-08:00rFactor Track Conversion - F1 2010 Codemasters BIC Endurance Configuration<div style="text-align: justify;">I stopped everything when I got my copy of Codemaster's F1 2010... Not because its the best F1 game ever but because of the possibilities it was going to offer me...</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">So from my last blog which was from November 9 up to today, I have been working day and night converting tracks and basically also learning how to do it. Tough task but I saw in an rfactor league forum in where a modder proudly said that it only took him 2 days to do it so that inspired me. I can also proudly say now that I to can convert those tracks not in a 2 day span though, but I guess a week as I have learned a lot from consolidating textures, correcting mipmap levels, smoothing groups, reducing vertices, LOD assigning, object tagging, etc.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">I guess that's all the rants I can give out after a month of converting as needless to say, I guess this specific entry of mine has been updated quite so often... Anyway, on to the track...</div><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">So here's the thing, I was able to convert the track (Bahrain International Circuit - Endurance Configuration) in all its purity but when it got down to racing on it, it was horse crap. FPS was either 1 or stops, so that's when all my work started. Now, after researching and understanding how the gmotor works, this track on a test day can run more than a 100 FPS and 60 to 70 FPS minimum on a race day.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">So here are some of the interesting things I did on the track and also some noteables:</div><ul><li>Flattened some of the significant rumble strips as AI's tend to flip over when driven on</li>
<li>Decreased the number of objects on the track as to increase FPS for better racing</li>
<li>Since I am focused mostly on offline racing, I placed also my signature <a href="http://www.blogger.com/">Individual Pit Slot</a> format</li>
<li>AIW and Cam files created from scratch (ofcourse)</li>
</ul><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><div style="text-align: justify;">I would like to say also that I respect all the modders out there and also the game developers as without them, we wouldn't have a game to play plus great enhancements. So, I say to all who would download this track, this is just a conversion and due to fps issues, other objects of the track comes from prominent track creations.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Okay, with that out of the way, here are some preview pics and below is the download link.</div><br />

Enjoy! Now I am off to Melbourne...Unknownnoreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8719833229273609796.post-67839149940465248532010-11-09T01:49:00.000-08:002011-01-31T17:08:30.883-08:00rFactor AIW Editing - Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit<div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Back with another AIW editing and this time we visit the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit. This track I used is from the WCP mod group in where they have updated it for I think 2 seasons now from 2009 to 2010. Basically here is what I touched upon on this circuit:</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Individual pit slots for all cars</span></b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">- As usual, I will be doing this for all my tracks but this one was a bit tricky when I updated it. The garage can only fit 2 cars meaning the space is not that big to have two pit slots. So the pit slots where spread out accordingly to ensure no incidents of bumping will happen.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><b>Overall fast, inside and outside paths reviewed</b></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">- When I downloaded the file, it had </span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">some few kinks here and there but overall it was good. So I took out some of the things I noticed that bothered me when I drove on the track.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
<a name='more'></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: x-small;"><i><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">There was a small kink on the finish straight right after the bridge.</span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: x-small;"><i><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">In turns 11 and 12, there was some missing tire grooves/skids (this was just me being OC).</span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: x-small;"><i><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Turn 4, 11 and 12 corridors where not fixed, meaning AI's can use the run offs for overtaking.</span></i></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">- So as usual updated the fast, inside and outside paths including the pit lane.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">All in all, there wasn't much I can work on this track as it was pretty laid out. But again, I was able to put my mark on it so you be the judge if its still the same or maybe a bit better.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Download Link:</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="background-color: black; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><a href="http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XC6B8KAB">Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit AIW V1</a> </span></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8719833229273609796.post-44962941495890199632010-11-08T18:53:00.000-08:002011-01-31T17:08:49.124-08:00rFactor Misc - How to make use of the Individual Pit Slots<div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Individual Pit Slots are my solution for AI's crashing to each other in the pit lane. Playing rFactor for around 3 to 4 years now, I haven't seen any workaround to this issue aside from giving the AI's there own pit slots. But in doing this, you have to make sure the pit lane has ample driving space to accommodate the resolution.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Also since you are individualizing the pits, that means you have to individualize the garage as well. So to do this, you have to edit the following files:</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
<b><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">RFM File</span></b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">- In the RFM file, all the way to the bottom, you will see the line called "PitGroupOrder". This dictates how many cars is in one team and their corresponding order in the pit lane. Since we are going to individualize the pits for each car, this is what we need to do:</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="background-color: black; color: white; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: xx-small;"><i><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">PitGroupOrder<br />
{<br />
</span></i><i><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">PitGroup = 1, Group1</span></i></span></div><div style="background-color: black; color: white; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: xx-small;"><i><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"> ...</span></i></span></div><div style="background-color: black; color: white; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: xx-small;"><i>}</i></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"> </span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">- PitGroup will be equal to 1 as we want to make a car have their own garage and pit slot. So based on the change that we will make as shown above, you now have to make multiple "PitGroup" lines depending on the number of cars in your mod. So if its like this years F1 season, you have to make 24 "PitGroup" lines.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br />
</span></div><div style="background-color: black; color: white; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: xx-small;"><i><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">PitGroupOrder<br />
{<br />
PitGroup = 1, Group1</span></i></span></div><div style="background-color: black; color: white;"><span style="background-color: #cccccc; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: xx-small;"> </span></div><div style="background-color: black; color: white; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: xx-small;"><i><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">PitGroup = 1, Group2</span></i></span></div><div style="background-color: black; color: white; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: xx-small;"><i><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">...</span></i></span></div><div style="background-color: black; color: white; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: xx-small;"><i><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">PitGroup = 1, Group24</span></i></span></div><div style="background-color: black; color: white;"><span style="background-color: #cccccc; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: xx-small;"> </span></div><div style="background-color: black; color: white; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: xx-small;"><i><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"> </span></i></span></div><div style="background-color: black; color: white; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: xx-small;"><i>}</i></span></div><div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><br />

So I went ahead and tried to find out on my own on how I can control the starting grid. I started with the quick race option and here is how I was able to customize my grid:</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">1. Locate for the "GDB" file of the track/circuit you will customize the grid.</span></div><ul style="text-align: justify;"><li><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">The "GDB" file is located in the locations folder of your rFactor game and inside of the track folder.</span></li>

This layout was used by F1 this year which next year will be returned to its old layout (might be a good thing anyway for them). Anyway, here are some details about the AIW I am implementing for this track:</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOQz3srCsACG9HRNixtffElZkcgGkOmDXSO3KkqOUwQl4XRsheW3Vi4Mjo4bTUzlacJhJItxHOjloQYW6Tc1p5q_isf5Z2Q2-Zm3cMRKvCydMvl0wYWaiO2TQSE2_o5yxhaDzNud3L3sQ/s1600/BICv13.jpg" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOQz3srCsACG9HRNixtffElZkcgGkOmDXSO3KkqOUwQl4XRsheW3Vi4Mjo4bTUzlacJhJItxHOjloQYW6Tc1p5q_isf5Z2Q2-Zm3cMRKvCydMvl0wYWaiO2TQSE2_o5yxhaDzNud3L3sQ/s200/BICv13.jpg" width="200" /></a><b><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Individual pit slots for all cars</span></b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">I have been doing this for mostly all the mods I have been playing since I have been seeing crazy pit lane issues with driver teammates taking out each other. So as a resolution for that, each car has its own pit slot and garage. Well, in order for this to work for your mod, basically there are a lot of editing to be done (from the RFM file all the way up to the VEH file). I guess I'll make a <b><a href="http://angelodeasa.blogspot.com/2010/11/rfactor-misc-how-to-make-use-of.html" style="color: blue;">blog on how to do these for beginners use</a></b>.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />

Well, I mostly play offline racing so basically I work on this as much as possible to get a better race. So in short, AI's don't cut the track on turn 1. I really like this fix or maybe editing I made for turn 1 as its either the AI would go wide or they brake in to a turn which before they only brake in wide all the time. I have tested it for I guess some time now, and it shows that result always.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8B8UDtojhBbya4j8cLT-4Lx-DyTzdJ4GFa_qb-O74Xc7lI99j6svMYwX21nPjmTZG58TEszv7eoaumhiANQ1o5ERhNdnSLGkXxAtKPsy6mNCs9dsxk0sSk5bpQTUg7cE3q99dW7g_ekA/s1600/BICv12.jpg" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8B8UDtojhBbya4j8cLT-4Lx-DyTzdJ4GFa_qb-O74Xc7lI99j6svMYwX21nPjmTZG58TEszv7eoaumhiANQ1o5ERhNdnSLGkXxAtKPsy6mNCs9dsxk0sSk5bpQTUg7cE3q99dW7g_ekA/s200/BICv12.jpg" width="200" /></a><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><b>Turn 7, 8 and 9 ( A smoother line)</b></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">I downloaded the early versions of the BIC Endurance track and mostly they follow a straight forward line (meaning if there is a turn, the line will follow which is kinda weird). So I went ahead and fixed that, meaning the AI will drive those corners in the shortest way possible.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">Full Course Yellow AI Line</span></b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">- Well, this is really my frustrations when I started playing rFactor. AI's either go in to a corner to deep which will make them spin off or bump each other due to a crazy full course yellow line. So, I made sure to fix the inside (left path) line of the race path and the pits.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">So overall, for me, I enjoy this AIW I made for the BIC Endurance Configuration. So if you would like to try it, below is the download link.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><br />

</div><div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: x-small;"><b>DISCLAIMER:</b><br />
- This mod is basically a skin update with minor tweaks in different departments (Tires, RFM file, HDV, etc.) to emulate the 2009 season. Some parts of the mod are based from previous F3 mods (i.e. ISI rf3 model, F3 Euroseries 2007 mod, etc.) and all credits go to them for creating such a big foundation for this mod.<br />
<br />
<b>DESCRIPTION:</b><br />
This mod includes the following:<br />
<br />
- All car skins for the 2009 Formula 3 Euroseries<br />
- All drivers for the 2009 Season including the drivers that entered mid way (RCD)<br />
- Includes a batch file to automate which drivers where racing in each round****<br />
- All 37 helmets for the current 2009 Season (That includes the final 4 guest drivers in Hockenhiem)<br />
- Optimized Drivers performance throughout the 2009 season<br />
<a name='more'></a> To be included in Version 1.10<br />
<br />
- Batch file automation of Tracks to emulate the 2009 Scoring System****<br />
<br />
****BATCH FILES<br />
<br />
- I have included batch files basically to automate most of the changes through the season. Also this will slightly integrate the 2009 Scoring System by automatically replacing certain files (RFM and GDB) to emulate for example the number of laps for race 1 and 2, etc.<br />
<br />
- How do they work? In the "F3 Euroseries" folder, you can see files of executable commands in which when pressed will replace necessary files either in Veh Folder, Track Folder, etc.<br />
<br />
- More will be explained below in the Installation and Usage of Batch Files<br />
<br />
<b>INSTALLATION</b><br />
1. Unzip downloaded file<br />
2. Copy and paste everything to your rFactor folder<br />
3. Run rFactor, select F3 Euroseries and enjoy!<br />
<br />
<b>USAGE OF BATCH FILES</b><br />
The Batch Files basically are to do the following:<br />
<br />
- To put the correct drivers for every round<br />
- To change Scoring System from either Race 1 format (10/8/6/5/4/3/2/1) or Race 2 (10/6/4/3/2/1)<br />
- To set each track with correct Laps for either Race 1 or 2 (Will be available in Version 1.0)<br />
<br />
To use:<br />
<br />
- For the driver changing, select which round you are going to race and double click the batch file (e.g. Driving Round 1, double click "Drivers_R1" batch file)<br />
<br />
- For Race 1 Scoring System, select the "Sprint Race" batch file and for Race 2, select "Feature Race" batch file<br />
<br />
All of these batch files are located in the vehicle folder under "F3Euroseries". Also be informed that in order for the Batch files to work, your rFactor has to be installed in the traditional file path "C:Program Files<br />
Factor"<br />
<br />
<b>OTHER INFO'S</b><br />
- Upon installation, all 33 drivers can be played but for better emulation of the 2009 Season, run the batch files. As checked in many F3 Euroseries sites, 28 drivers have been the maximum so far for the Season.<br />
<br />
- In relation to what was mentioned above, here are some information that will be useful when using the Batch Files:<br />
<br />
R1 - 28 Drivers<br />
R2 - 28 Drivers<br />
R3 - 27 Drivers<br />
R4 - 27 Drivers<br />
R5 - 25 Drivers<br />
R6 - 25 Drivers<br />
R7 - 24 Drivers<br />
R8 - 25 Drivers<br />
R9 - 23 Drivers<br />
R10 - 24 Drivers<br />
<br />
- Please corelate the above information when playing because if ever this is not in place, then there will be duplicate drivers.<br />
<br />
- I am currently running the F3 Euroseries 2009 with "0" in the AI Limiter, AI Strenght of "120" and AI Aggression in "100" and so far I have been getting some good racing with the familiar names always on top step. I suggest you try this settings to emulate the 2009 season.<br />
